1) Bourton-on-the-Water

Classed as the ‘Venice of the Cotswolds’, Bourton-on-the-Water is regularly voted as one of the prettiest villages in England and has plenty to see and do. The river Windrush flows through the centre of the village, with its many low bridges. Visit the Model Village, Birdland, cafes, and gift shops.

2) Gloucestershire Steam Railway

The Gloucestershire-Warwickshire Steam Railway is a heritage railway over 14 miles (23km) long in the beautiful English Cotswolds. Visit the GWSR stations at Broadway, Toddington, Winchcombe, or Cheltenham Racecourse.

3) Sudeley Castle & Gardens

With royal connections spanning a thousand years, Sudeley Castle has played a significant role in the turbulent and changing times of England’s past. Sudeley Castle offers a spectacular day out in the heart of the Cotswolds countryside. 4) Slimbridge Wetland Centre

5) Cotswold Wildlife Park & Gardens

The Cotswold Wildlife Park & Gardens exhibits over 260 different species of animals. The park is set in 160 acres of landscaped parkland and gardens—an adventure playground, animal feeding and talks, petting zoo. 6) Westonbirt Arboretum

Westonbirt Arboretum is one of the world’s most beautiful and essential plant collections. With 15,000 specimens and 2,500 species of trees worldwide, the Arboretum plays a vital part in research and conservation.

7) Cotswold Water Park

The Cotswold Water Park is an area of 40 square miles, with more than 150 lakes set across the countryside as well as an artificial beach. The waterpark has a vast range of leisure activities and water sports.

8) Pittville Park

The largest of all Cheltenham parks, Pittville Park, is split into two sides: On the east side, you’ll find a huge play area, the historically significant Pittville Pump Room, aviaries, a pretty lake, Central Cross Café and a large field which hosts events throughout the year. On the west side are a boating lake and boathouse, a Pitch and Putt golf course, tennis courts, a play area, and a skateboarding/BMX area.

9) The Cotswold Way Walk

With 100 miles of stunning trails, the Cotswold Way passes through picturesque villages. It is close to many historic sites, such as the Roman heritage at Bath, the Neolithic burial chamber at Belas Knap, Sudeley Castle near Winchcombe, Hailes Abbey, and many beautiful churches and historic houses.

10) Cheltenham Racecourse
