The Cheltenham Jazz Festival is one of Cheltenham’s large festivals and hosts up to 20,000 Jazz lovers each year. The festival celebrates a mixture of jazz genres so that there is something for all types of fans. There are also a variety of performance styles, from larger concerts to master classes to intimate club shows. Previous guests include Katie Melua, Paloma Faith, Hugh Laurie, Eartha Kitt, and Corinne Bailey Rae. 

Whilst the key site for the festival is set within Montpellier Gardens, there are pop-up events throughout Cheltenham. In 2022, over 34,800 tickets were issued, and an estimated 25,000 people enjoyed free music in Montpellier Gardens and at Jazz Festival gigs around the town. That’s a lot of people enjoying the festivities throughout the week!

In addition to the paid performances throughout the festival, there is a variety of music playing on the free stage in Montpellier Gardens so that you can soak up the festival atmosphere with a bite to eat or a drink from one of the local vendors at the festival. Benches are scattered throughout so you can sit down and enjoy the ambience, but many bring blankets to create an atmospheric picnic.

Very clear and timely communications with the office at all stages… Even with a last minute change on some logistics. Felt like a real home from home.

    Thank you for a great stay in Cheltenham. The apartment was spotless and furnished to a high standard with everything we needed including a helpful guide to how to use the apartment’s amenities and appliances. The location in Montpellier was excellent. We arrived late at night from the airport and the team was very helpful with clear directions and even added the parking permit for our hire car overnight.     Within 6 minutes walk to both CLC and town center, very convenient! Quick response to requests, service is good! Imperial garden is just in front of your window, the view is great!     I spent four months at Elizabeth house. The location was ideal as it was within walking distance to parks, shopping, pubs and gym.

    I stay at LA's apartment every time I visit Cheltenham, and it never disappoints. The terrace area (and fan) really helped us overcome the heatwave this month, it was great sitting outside during the evenings. Highly recommended!
