Whether for business or leisure, travelling with children comes with challenges. Below, we’ve rounded up the main reasons we’re sure you should choose a serviced apartment over a hotel for your next trip with children.
Our serviced apartments in Cheltenham are typically three times larger than a hotel room with dedicated spaces for relaxing, dining, and sleeping – meaning the whole family is not crammed into one hotel room. Several of our properties have King-size beds that can be split into two twin beds to accommodate additional guests, meaning that if you have multiple children they can have their own dedicated bed. We can also provide beds suitable for infants if you are travelling with young children and there is plenty of space to put a cot given the additional space that our serviced apartments provide.
The extra space of serviced accommodation allows children to play and learn with some properties even offering a private or communal garden. It also gives you as a parent some extra space to unwind if children have some space to themselves.
Several families that visit us with children also have pets and we can accommodate pets too – please get in touch with us so that we can find you a suitable apartment.
Each apartment offers a fully equipped kitchen that allows you to prepare meals for fussy eaters and saves money on eating out. Unlike hotels, there are no set meal times which may not work for families with young children and busy routines.
Each of our serviced apartments also has a dining table – something you wouldn’t see in a hotel room – meaning that you can all sit together as a family to enjoy meal time together comfortably. We can provide you with a high chair if needed, meaning one less thing to pack!
Young children and babies often have several changes of clothes a day – all properties have a washer/dryer, saving you time & money on trips to the laundrette. It’s also just a nicer experience to be able to do laundry from the comfort of your home.
It may also mean that you have to pack less clothing which can be helpful.
Apartments feel more like your own home than a clinical hotel room, meaning it’s easier to stick to your usual family schedule. For example, separate rooms allow you to keep children in their bedtime routine whilst parents can relax in the living area once children are in bed. Another example is that you can keep dinner times in order, with all properties offering a dining table.
Travelling with children and adapting to new surroundings can be stressful but small touches like a comfy sofa and cushions, artwork and books can put children at ease and make them feel more at home. We can also arrange additional TV packages, Netflix, etc.
A big aspect of our service as a serviced accommodation provider is our housekeeping service. Our friendly team of housekeepers provide a weekly housekeeping service as standard for our guests which lightens your household workload as a busy parent.
