Exclusively for the Cheltenham Gold Cup Festival, we offer this elegant, period townhouse on Cheltenham’s picturesque Wellington Square. Situated by Pittville Park, Pitville House is a short walk from the town centre and under a mile from the Cheltenham Racecourse.
This special serviced property is elevated by the preservation of its period features throughout, including high coffered ceilings, wide hallways, marble fireplaces, and Georgian windows and shutters.
The spacious entrance hallway follows around the staircase to a petite boot room for convenience. The entire hallway is furnished with oak herringbone flooring, which continues into the front living room.
The tall, Georgian windows of the front room look over the green and trees of Wellington Square whilst allowing light into the space. Original wooden shutters provide both charm and privacy. A functioning log-burner, partnered with two comfortable 3-seater sofas and an 85-inch flat-screen TV, creates a cosy space to spend time together.
Completing the ground floor, the open-plan kitchen and dining room offer a perfect space for both cooking and entertaining. Vast countertops and a middle island, topped with Dark, Emperador polished marble, provide plenty of food preparation space. A dual-control Aga cooker and gas stove make cooking a rustic dream. The dining room table, set by a large Georgian window, enjoys the sun and a garden view.
The adjoining room offers further marble topped counter space, a sizeable pantry, and drinks station. A panoramic window lends this room garden views.
The garden stretches around the property and offers an outdoor dining area, petite circular courtyard, and plenty of green space.
Climbing to the half landing, you’ll find a well-appointed bathroom for the first bedroom. It’s complete with floor to ceiling tiles, a marble windowsill, and spacious shower.
Next-door, the first bedroom offers comfortable king-size bed, ceiling high feature bookshelves and garden view. This space has a wealth of period charm with a French antique green-marble dresser and ornate fireplace.
The drawing room presents a refined and sociable space complete with a marble table and ample seating. Views of the square, overlooked by the property’s classic, decorative, cast-iron balconies, paint a truly romantic picture.
The second floor opens to a luxurious, walk-in wardrobe. The second room is painted in a gentle rose and furnished with a king-size bed and spacious desk area. The bathroom has a bright and lavish finish with a polished tile floor and light taupe walls. It is complete with a luxury double sink and vanity, classic high-level toilet, and a rainfall shower.
The master bedroom flaunts a deluxe, super-king size bed, large double windows with views of the square and a huge double wardrobe. The ensuite exhibits a beautiful double Emperador marble skink, freestanding bath, and a rainfall shower.
A hidden staircase leads to the top floor with a bright king-size bedroom, with winning views spanning as far as Cleeve hill. The twin private bathroom is complete with a vintage-style bath and rainfall shower. Gently lit by skylight windows, this bathroom enjoys the sloping ceilings and privacy of the attic space.

The Pittville area is host to the largest park in Cheltenham. Pittville Park is not only a lovely park to walk through and enjoy the scenery. Still, it is home to several outdoor activity experiences such as golf, boating, tennis, and swan-spotting!
The park also has several cafes so that you can grab a coffee or bite to eat, and it has a large children’s play area, which will offer hours of fun for families.
Down the road from our Pittville apartments is Cheltenham Racecourse, which hosts Cheltenham’s famous Gold cup and various other events, from Bonfire night to comedy shows to children’s shows such as Paw Patrol Live.
Cheltenham is a picturesque town which is renowned for its regency architecture, beautifully kept greenery, and festival culture.
A walk around Cheltenham will quickly showcase its magnificence as you take in the grand surrounding buildings, lofty trees and large floral beds, which add a lovely splash of colour to its green surroundings.
Cheltenham also features several parks, with three in the town centre alone. There is always an opportunity to enjoy some lovely greenery close by.
Cheltenham is more than a pretty town, though, with its famous events such as the Gold Cup and Literature festivals drawing in tourists worldwide. Outside of the 30+ festivals hosted in Cheltenham each year, the town has many restaurants, bars, boutique shops and activities for groups of friends and families.
To book a stay of fewer than 30 nights full payment is taken. For stays longer than 30 nights, payment is taken in 30-night intervals. For corporate stays different options are available, please ask for details.
Should you cancel your stay, and stay for fewer than 30 nights, 20% of the stay is non-refundable. For stays longer than 30 nights, 20% of the first month is non-refundable.
A security deposit of £250 is due on arrival, or £500 at certain properties and during the gold cup. If pets are allowed it’s £500, this is refunded after we check the apartment has been left in good order after departure.
Check-in times are from 3 pm-6 pm, at some properties, we can allow a later check-in time if self-check-in is possible, without charge. Before booking please contact us if you need to arrive or depart outside these hours, as we may not be able to meet.
There may be an arrival charge of £50 if arriving between 7 pm and 12 pm, if the property does not have a self-check-in option, the £50 is given to the person who meets you out of their office hours.
The departure is at 10 am unless otherwise agreed.
No smoking in the property. No loud noise between 11 pm & 8 am. No parties, hen or stag do’s.
Pets are not permitted at this property.

Stays of 1-7 nights LA must receive notification of cancellation at least seven days before arrival. Cancellations received in less than seven days will only be offered any reimbursement if the property can be re-let (the deposit will be forfeited).
Stays of 7-27 nights LA must receive notification of cancellation for bookings from 7 – 27 nights at least seven days before the actual arrival date. Where notification of cancellation is received less than seven days before the arrival date LA will apply a cancellation charge of 7 nights accommodation.
Stays of 28+ nights LA must receive notification of cancellation for bookings of 28 nights plus, at least 28 days before the actual arrival date. Where notification of cancellation is received less than 28 days before the revised departure date LA will apply a minimum cancellation charge of 14 nights accommodation.
Non-arrivals will be treated as a cancellation and will be subject to a 100% cancellation charge.
